The Iconic Story
“A bar like no other”
Part of the building that the venue “Iconic” now occupies was built at the turn of the century and has had many interesting changes and owners over the past 100 years but in 1997 it became the home of “Cue Time”, a pool bar & Café that has more than stood the test of time.
How Iconic came to be:
The name Iconic was one of the names short-listed and struck the owners that the name depicted a well-known and timeless object, person or place that has stood the test of time. Iconic was chosen because of its inherent ability to give a feeling of class, long standing and position in the market which both the building and the business give off in its character.
How it came together:
After two years of research in NZ, Australia and America a formulation was started to provide a multi faceted, multi level bar with focus on quality, food, entertainment, pool, time out, wine, coffee, video, great indoor and outdoor areas and of course, “great beer”.
What makes it different?
Well, choice of beer was easy! Export Gold was picked as the prime focus, chosen for its original flavour and because it is very popular with both men and woman.
The venue offers many interesting aspects within the 11,500 sq ft building, such as two garden bar areas, raised alcove seating, four large screens, separate pool playing areas, chill out area for late night coffee and dessert or just to chill out, restaurant and gaming areas.
The venue has produced a local bar feel with the sophistication of the city - the kind of venue that has a great priced product, high level of service and enough variety that you will want to stay all night.
So welcome to “Iconic, a venue the gives you variety, fun and a chance to unwind all in one. |
